Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: 2026-05-09

Comvix powers thousands of businesses across many industries — and a small number of categories pose enough legal, regulatory, or platform-risk that we cannot serve them. This policy lists what you may NOT use Comvix for. Violations result in account suspension, forfeiture of unused subscription time, and where applicable, reporting to law enforcement.

Overview

By using Comvix you agree to use it only for lawful business purposes that comply with the laws of your country, the laws of England & Wales (where Comvix is operated), and the policies of every third-party service we depend on (Stripe, Meta, Google, WhatsApp, etc.). You are responsible for the accuracy, legality, and tone of every message your team and your AI agents send through the platform.

Prohibited Activities

You may NOT use Comvix to operate, promote, or facilitate: (a) the sale of illegal drugs or controlled substances, including CBD, cannabis, or kratom in jurisdictions where they are not lawfully sold; (b) weapons, ammunition, explosives, or weapon parts; (c) cryptocurrency exchanges, mining services, ICOs, or any tokenised securities; (d) foreign-exchange trading, binary options, or any unregulated financial advisory; (e) gambling, betting, lotteries, sweepstakes (with very limited regulated-operator exceptions, contact us before listing); (f) adult content, escort services, sex work, or related advertising; (g) multi-level marketing, pyramid schemes, get-rich-quick programs; (h) counterfeit goods, replica designer items, or pirated digital media; (i) debt-collection services targeting consumers; (j) the promotion or distribution of hate speech, violent extremism, or content directed at minors; (k) any business operated by, on behalf of, or for the benefit of a person or entity on the UK, US, or EU sanctions lists.

Enforcement

We monitor for AUP violations through a combination of automated screening (chargeback rates, refund anomalies, payment volume spikes), public abuse reports, and partner alerts (Stripe, payment providers, ICO). Confirmed violations result in: (1) immediate suspension of the offending brand, (2) cancellation of any pending payouts, (3) termination of the operator's account where the violation is material or repeated, (4) forfeiture of all unused subscription time, and (5) referral to law enforcement where the violation involves a criminal offence. We give merchants 24 hours to respond to a suspension notice before final action, except where immediate action is necessary to protect users, payment partners, or the platform itself.

Reporting Abuse

Any member of the public may report a Comvix merchant they believe is violating this policy. Use the 'Report this merchant' link in the footer of any storefront, booking page, or payment landing, or email abuse@comvix.ai directly. Reports are triaged within 24 hours and a decision is rendered within 72 hours. Reporters may remain anonymous; if you provide an email, we will tell you the outcome.

Sanctions Screening

On signup we screen the registering individual and the legal entity name against the OpenSanctions consolidated list (which aggregates UK HMT, US OFAC, EU consolidated, and UN sanctions). A potential match suspends the account pending manual review. A confirmed match results in account closure and notification to the relevant authority. We re-screen periodically and automatically suspend any account whose principals appear on a sanctions list after onboarding.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the platform evolves and as the legal landscape changes. Material changes will be announced via in-app banner and email at least 14 days before they take effect, and you will be required to re-accept the updated policy on next login. The 'Last updated' date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.

Questions

If you are unsure whether your business is permitted on Comvix, ask us BEFORE signing up: abuse@comvix.ai. We respond to good-faith pre-signup questions within two business days. We would much rather decline an application than suspend an account weeks into onboarding.

Comvix is operated by Valdura LTD, a company registered in England and Wales.
